The medium in the measuring pipeline of the instrument generally does not flow, and even in some cases it is not filled with liquid. When the atmospheric temperature drops below the freezing point, the medium and liquid in the pipeline and measuring parts can freeze, and signal transmission cannot be carried out, which not only affects the detection and Regulate the normal operation of the system, and will cause damage to the detection instrument. In order to prevent the freezing of the measuring pipeline and instrument equipment, the medium in the measuring pipeline that requires the instrument is generally not flowing, or even not filled with liquid in some cases. When the atmospheric temperature drops below the freezing point, the medium and liquid in the pipeline and measuring parts can be Freezing makes signal transmission impossible, which not only affects the normal operation of the detection and regulation system, but also causes damage to the detection instrument. In order to prevent freezing of measuring pipelines and instrumentation equipment, heat preservation and heat tracing measures are required. Heat tracing refers to pipelines, instruments and equipment that use heat sources to heat the measured medium. Usually two forms of steam tracing and electric tracing are used. Obviously, wherever heating is required, it should be insulated. Insulation is to wrap pipelines, primary instruments, regulating valves, etc. with insulation materials (asbestos boards, asbestos threads) to insulate the medium in the pipelines and equipment from the atmosphere. Heat tracing and insulation are related to seasons and locations (north, south). (1) Steam tracing This is a commonly used method of tracing in petrochemical plants. The diameter and material of the heating pipeline are determined by factors such as the level of the steam pressure, the temperature of the steam overheating, and the object of the heating. (2) Electric tracing uses resistance wire to generate heat as the heat source. In recent years, it has been widely used in China. Electric heating tape is commonly used, but the electric heating method of the open-air instrument box is electric heating tube. The heating belt adopts a winding method, and the heating tube is made of seamless steel pipe with a resistance element inside, and magnesium oxide powder is added to the middle for insulation. Electric heat tracing construction is relatively simple, no hot welding is required, and construction can be carried out even during driving. In the process of using electric heating, it is necessary to prevent the insulation damage and the burning of the electric heating belt after being immersed in water. The best one today is the silicone rubber insulated electric heating tape, but its temperature cannot exceed 200°C, so the heating temperature should be lower than 150°C. Explosion-proof or sealed switches can be used to prevent sparks. Hope these can bring you a little help.
