WORKING PRINCIPLE
The rotary wing or turbine water meter measures water fow by using the mechanical motion of a rotor (turbine) placed in the path of the flowing water. When water passes through the meter, the flow of water causes the turbine to rotate.
The speed of rotation is proportional to the volume of water passing through the meter. This rotation is mechanically transmitted to a counting mechanism, which displays the total volume of water that has flowed through the meter.
