(3) The flow sensor can be installed on horizontal, vertical or inclined pipelines. But when measuring liquid, the flow sensor installed on a vertical or inclined pipeline must ensure the flow direction of the liquid from bottom to top to ensure that the pipeline is filled with liquid and offset the impact of additional gravity (see Figure 9). (4). Long straight pipe sections should be left upstream and downstream of the flow sensor. The size of the straight pipe section varies according to the upstream pipe type. According to the JB/T9249-1999 vortex flow sensor standard, Table (3) lists the minimum straight pipe length requirements for different pipe types upstream of the sensor. (5). The inner diameter of the pipe where the flow sensor is installed must be the same as the inner diameter of the flow sensor. Otherwise, the upstream and downstream pipelines where the flow sensor is installed must be reduced in diameter. The principle of selecting the pipe diameter is: the pipe inner diameter must be consistent with the nominal inner diameter of the flow sensor. The relative error of the two inner diameters should be controlled within ±1%. On the premise of ensuring the pressure strength, the nominal pressure of the straight pipe diameter within 4Mpa of the LU vortex flowmeter, LUGB vortex flow sensor and the instruction manual refers to the table (4). (6). It will not affect continuous production when it is disassembled for maintenance. Under conditions, the installation method with bypass pipe is recommended. See Figure 12. (7). No regulating valve or half-open valve should be installed upstream of the flow sensor, so as not to affect the accuracy and stability of the flow sensor.
